As we covered the topic of farm in the Calvert lesson last week, I came up with the idea of making a farm diorama. This was the first diorama project that we've done, and it was a lot of fun!! As usual, we used Origami crafts for all the items.
Now the children are telling they'd like to visit a farm. There's a nice farm that we can experience milking the cow, feeding the animals, etc., so I'm thinking of taking them there, inshaAllah.

Assalamu alaykum sis,
what grade are your kids doing with Calvert? My eldest now 9 years old he has been doing 2nd grade and almost finished, insh'Allah. I would love to refister him for 3rd grade if it wasn;t for the cost. How do you find Calvert?
Love the project and mash'Allah origami is one of my passion. There was a period i used to take origami paper with me in bed. it helped me relaxed!

Waalaikumussalam, sister.
My daughters are 5 and 6 in age, and they've just finished Grade K. I like Calvert for its Lesson Manuals, which saves me alot of time planning.
Yes, the cost is actually not cheap, but it's much cheaper than sending them to an international school or any praivate schools here.
So inshaAllah, I'm planning to continue using Calvert for the next grade, but it would be much better if we could reuse the whole curriculum for their sibilings(their re-use plan doesn't really save much).
Assalam alaikum.
